Animal Shelter
Franklin County Animal Shelter is a local haven in Franklin County, Virginia, dedicated to providing superior care for the county’s unwanted pets. Treating every animal like family, they offer a safe, nurturing environment complete with daily enrichment and social skill development to help each pet thrive until they find their forever home. Their comprehensive intake care includes vaccinations, spay/neuter services, deworming, and flea and tick medications—all at cost-effective rates with low adoption fees and affordable spay/neuter options. Franklin County Animal Shelter is grateful for the supportive community that enables them to continue their mission of offering compassionate, quality care to every animal in need.
Roanoke Valley SPCA
The Roanoke Valley SPCA is a community resouce that provides pet adoption, retention, and educational services in the Virginia’s Blue Ridge.
We will not be directly pulling animals from the RVSPCA on a regular basis, but will be using them for education services and events!
HEART Rescue
HEART Rescue is a local non-profit organization based in Blue Ridge, VA. They provide specialized care in stray kittens and felines neonates, pet adoptions services, and educations to public on importance of TNR.
We will be working very closely with this group; pulling adult and fully vaccinated kittens directly from this organization.

Regional Center for Animal Care & Protection
To provide temporary shelter for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals to return them to their owners or find them permanent, suitable new homes and to provide cost effective sheltering through regional partnerships to ensure the highest live release rate practical for our community.
We are so excited to be working so closely with this organization! We have worked directly with RCACP for years as Vet Techs and will be using them frequently.

Star City TNR
Star City TNR and Rescue is a Roanoke-based nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of community cats through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), rescue, and adoption. Their mission is to reduce the overpopulation of stray and feral cats by providing humane, proactive solutions. From spay/neuter and vaccination services to fostering and rehoming adoptable cats and kittens, they are a foster-based organization that relies entirely on donations, volunteers, and community partnerships, including amazing places like The Toebean Cat Café, to help cats in need. Every cat they rescue has a story, and thanks to support from the community, they’re getting a second chance at the life they deserve!
Barn Cat Buddies
The Barn Cat Buddies program was created to save feral or skittish cats from a life of hunger on the streets or being destroyed in local shelters.
Their mission is to protect, rescue, and improve the lives of felines in need through advocacy, education, and community engagement.
Barn Cat Buddies, Inc. is a 501C 3 non-profit, charitable organization comprised of volunteers with a common mission dedicated to saving and improving the lives of feral, homeless, stray, and abandoned felines in the southwest and central regions of Virginia.
